The idea behind the F80

Unveiled in October 2024, the F80 follows Ferrari’s tradition of limited-production flagship supercars. Its central decision is a V6 hybrid powertrain: Ferrari specifies 900 CV from the combustion engine and a further 300 CV from its hybrid system, for 1,200 CV overall.

Ferrari connects the three-litre engine’s development to its 499P endurance-racing programme. An electric front axle and rear electric motor give the F80 a different layout from a purely rear-driven supercar.

Look beyond peak power

The F80’s specification also includes active suspension and an adjustable rear wing. Ferrari quotes 1,050 kg of downforce at 250 km/h. The speed is essential context: downforce is not a fixed quantity available in every corner.

Its asymmetric two-seat cabin puts the driver at the visual centre of the design. Ferrari describes production as limited to 799 examples, with the programme running through 2027.

Reading the figures

The figures above are Ferrari’s published claims, not SuperCarNews test results. CV is metric horsepower; it should not be relabelled as bhp. Track performance also depends on tyres, temperature, setup and battery state, so a headline acceleration number cannot settle a comparison on its own.
